Government is an organic structure that needs to take in new ideas and new technologies in order to operate as efficiently, responsively and effectively as possible. However, when it comes to keeping apace with the rapid rate of innovation in the tech industry, our government tends to fall short. Lincoln Network aims to bridge the gap between the tech and government worlds and effect change through collaboration.
The Lincoln Network was founded on the optimistic view that when technology and public policy meet under the right set of conditions, both worlds benefit.
Lincoln seeks to bring influencers and leaders from around the United States together through events such as their annual National Reboot Conference, where politicians and tech professionals discuss the future of technology in the current political climate. They organize hackathons and meetups to bring people together who would otherwise not intersect.
The Lincoln Network also has a service called Lincoln Deployed, which connects companies who need help to one of thousands of highly qualified tech experts to help optimize messaging, processes and technology within the company. To quote its website, “Lincoln Deployed exists to transform a broken model into an AI-powered platform that enables everyday, meaningful collaboration between Silicon Valley-caliber technologists and civic or government professionals.”
New innovations in the tech sector can have as far-reaching an effect as any piece of government legislation. By leveraging the power of technology and fostering collaboration, The Lincoln Network and Lincoln Deployed are striving to promote economic and personal liberty, and ultimately make the world a better place.
